Verlag Aenne Burda GmbH & Co. KG
The burdastyle.de online shop offers magazines with a lot of sewing inspiration and new patterns on a regular basis. There you can also buy individual patterns as paper patterns or download patterns.
Our task was to connect the entire e-commerce processing based on Magento 2 to the existing Drupal CMS headless system. A middleware should be developed for this.
In addition, the product range is to be expanded with various dealers.
- Integrate various dropshipping partners and split orders made accordingly and display them separately.
- Implement logic for bundles
It is important to note that the products of the dropshipping partners are not integrated into the ERP system.
An order split was installed as part of the dropshipping integration, which makes it possible to split orders from various dropshipping partners without including them in the ERP system.
Middleware for headless connection
The basic setup of the middleware included the following activities:
- Setting up the development environment (Git,
DEV and LIVE)
- Installing GraphQL for PHP
- Implementation of the web request logic for GraphQL
- Get the customer token
Then API connections were set up for various touchpoints:
- Product lists and search results pages
- Product detail pages
- Customer information
The Magento 2 system was then cleaned of former components of the previous BurdaStyle integration.
